Ikea Catalogue Promotion - Initial Ideas

The images below are from my initial brainstorm of ideas for this brief. I would like to focus on typography and use paper cutting to promote the products and brand, by maybe using paper to illustrate the products in the catalogue.

Lampshade Packaging Designs

Below is some typographic experimentation that I have carried out. I am starting to play around with fonts & layouts for my Lampshade brief as I have decided to create a design that can be used for a variety of products and over a range of designs made of paper, yet still be recognisable as the same 'brand' This typography would be used on the packaging and labels of the products.

Previous Lampshade Ideas

From my previous brief before Xmas, I designed a range of lampshades with different themes to them. You can see these below.

However for this new lampshade packaging brief I would like to create more of a solid 'brand' feeling and create a more cohesive set of lampshades that all suit a target audience and look specifically similar, so I will be changing some of the designs to create a family of designs.

Fedrigoni Calendar Brief

(EDIT this brief is my final developed brief that has gone through changes throughout the project and the work following this post starts from my ideas before the final brief details from above were changed, which then develops to suit the above brief)

Leeds Library Promotional Campaign

These are my initial ideas for the Leeds Library Promotion brief. I aim to promote the library by creating imagery for a promotional campaign and then show how this would be utilised in several contexts to promote and advertise the library to the local people of Leeds. (below is the brief)

Alice In Wonderland - Book Cover Design - Initial Cover Ideas

These are some of my initial ideas for cover designs, based on the imagery I thought related well to sections of the story of Alice in Wonderland. I have also Experimented with some spot colours, the layout and compositional elements within the designs. I would use a similar layout for each book cover to keep the collectable, group feel this gives them.

Alice in Wonderland - Book CoverDesign - Initial Sketches

These are some of the initial sketches I have produced for the Alice in Wonderland book cover design for a competition brief. I am in the process of playing with floral and mushroom silhouette illustrations that I found in an old book in the library. You can also see the start of a mock design for a papercut. I decided to focus on the part of the story with the singing flowers as a reference and thought it provided some great visual imagery. These will then be developed into a series of book covers using different visual imagery at the top of each cover and a focal point of them on the cover.

These are my initial idea sketches for my book cover imagery. I wanted to focus on iconic imagery from the book while having the imagery be simple and subtle.
